The water based duck has always been linked to the feminine energies of seeing clearly and gliding effortlessly through the rivers of our deepest emotions. Ducks are a community oriented and social creature.They appear in many people's lives as a totem for service to others,affection and especially healing aptitudes.
While pure emotional strength can be shared, it must first come from within and be delicately balanced with logic and reason. The myriad of diverse plumage found on the duck showcases this balance. The iridescent feathers represent the fine line between imagination and reality while the bold colors highlight the qualities of strength and perseverance. The duck is a reminder for us to be gentle with ourselves as we grow, learn and heal.
